Dear Patients and Physicians,

We have exciting news to share ! We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Nimish Kadakia to South County Orthopedic Spe-cialists and the expansion of SCOS to our newest office in Irvine, CA at 22 Odyssey. Dr. Kadakia is a sports medicine fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the care of sports injuries. His practice encompasses a wide scope of orthopedics including surgery of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle. He is also dedicat-ed to the care of traumatic injuries and fractures. He takes pride in pursuing modern and contemporary treatment options for all pa-tients. Dr. Kadakia has been named a Physician of Excellence by the Orange County Medical Association and an Orange County Top Doc by Orange Coast Magazine.

Dr. Kadakia has been practicing in Irvine since 2003, and brings a wealth of experience to SCOS. He is an integral part of our community serving Hoag and Saddleback Hospitals, and local high schools. He is an avid runner, cyclist, and triathlete. He recently complet-ed the Chicago and LA triathlons, the Beach Series Half marathons, and the Solvang Cen-tury. This passion allows compassion for his patients’ desires to lead an active lifestyle.

Dr. Kadakia is from Chicago. He completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA, medical school at the University of Texas, San Antonio, and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. His sports medicine fellowship was at the Minneapolis Sports Medicine Cen-ter, Minneapolis, MN. He has also completed the Subspecialty Certification in Sports Med-icine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

In addition to work and family, Dr. Kadakia is actively involved in charitable work. He is an integral part of Hope Endowment, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives and education of orphan children in India. The project is currently building a school and dormitory to house 100 children. Dr. Kadakia is a happily married father of two.

Please welcome Dr. Kadakia to our new Irvine location. We are expanding to meet the growing needs of the community and to provide a full spectrum of orthopedic services, and will be on staff at both Hoag Hospital and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center.
